In another forum I placed a subtle reference about an author that had, IMHO, cracked the Grail code. Interestingly enough, it didn't seem to cause much of a stir. No response-nothing. Hmmm...
So that being the case, I thought that I'd post about this "fellow" over here.
His name is Philip Gardiner and I reached the conclusion that this fellow is the 'real deal' after reading one of his latest books, The Serpent Grail. I knew that I probably had the answers that I wanted after visiting his various websites but it wasn't proven to me until page 136 of, The Serpent Grail. Obviously that reference point is meaningless until you read the book...and perhaps not even then. But anyone interested in the subject of the Holy Grail (and very few aren't) would have done some background research of their own. Page 136, for me, connected symbols that, again... for me, seemed irreconcilable.
The general thread that connects all beliefs, religions and mythologies is 'symbol'. NOT the 'literal'. Literalists are very dangerous IMHO and the only way that they can be stopped is through the education process. They must be taught the difference between symbolism and literalism. Joseph Campbell taught superbly in this area and his video's are widely available in almost any library. That would be an excellent place for anyone to start.
Anyway...even if people accept the premise that symbolism is the key to these mysteries, we're still left with the fact that literalism drives the narrative. That is, a certain amount of actual history is written in these works. Sooo, the dilemma is (as it always has been) to separate the symbols from the literal facts. Not an easy task!!!
I'm not going to ramble on about this...(hey, you could have fooled me!), but if you're at all interested in this stuff then the following site is a great place to start:
http://www.freewebs.com/grailhunters/index.htm
Gardiner will soon be very well known, just as he's quite obscure now.
If anyone is interested in this subject, don't be afraid to post. But please try to keep it short. Not like I just did! Because it's a vast area and one can easily get lost in it.
I wrote a lot of words and STILL haven't revealed Gardiner's secret...Visit his site and read it yourself LOL.
Which brings me to Gardiner's theory on the Illuminati...
Nope... not this time!
